As a veteran educator and seven-time Chicago Regional Emmy Award winner, I bring decades of experience in both education and journalism to my work in media literacy.

Before entering the classroom, I worked as an investigative reporter, uncovering stories that demanded accuracy, integrity, and critical analysis. Today, I use that real-world experience to help students navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape. I teach them to evaluate sources, recognize bias, detect misinformation, and communicate responsibly. My goal is to empower young people not just to consume media, but to question it, understand its power, and use it to create informed, meaningful impact.
